How are testing service works
Orders are processed within 48 hours of payment, Monday to Friday, excluding weekends and bank holidays. Once your order has been processed, we're not able to take responsibility for delays caused by the laboratory or delivery couriers.
2. We'll process your order within 48 hours of payment
The laboratory posts your kit directly to you, with full instructions for sample collection.
3. Your test kit is sent by the lab
Once you receive your test kit, follow the instructions in your kit exactly, then send your sample back to the lab using the method specified. Some tests are a single sample, others are collected at set points across the day, so read the instructions before you start.
4. Collect your sample and return it to the lab
We don't book your review appointment at the point of purchase, as it can take some people a few weeks to complete and return their sample. Instead, once you let us know your sample is on its way back to the lab, we'll be in touch to book your 45-minute results review appointment, timed around the test's expected turnaround. As part of booking, we'll ask you to complete a short health questionnaire, covering your current medication, main symptoms and reason for testing, so we have the right context ahead of your appointment. Your written summary follows within 48 hours of the appointment.
5. Results and next steps
Browse our tests below and choose the one that's right for you. Payment is taken at checkout, and covers your kit, postage, lab analysis, as well as your 45-minute results review appointment, and following written summary report. You'll of course receive a copy of your test results as well.

Testing can be useful if you have symptoms that haven't been explained by standard checks, if you want a clearer picture of what's driving your mood, energy or digestion.

Do I need to do anything to prepare for my test?

Full instructions for your specific test are sent to you when you place your order, and are also included in your kit when it arrives. As long as you follow these carefully, no other preparation is needed.
I'm currently taking medication or supplements, will this interfere with my test?

Some medications and supplements can affect certain test results. Full details of what to be aware of for your specific test are included in your sample instructions, so please read these carefully before you begin.
Is postage included?

Yes, postage is included in the price of every test.
Are tests available internationally?

Yes. If you're ordering from outside the UK, email us at info@urbanwellness.co.uk first and we'll let you know the additional postage cost before you order.

Do I have to have the 45-minute results review, can I not just buy the test?

No, the review is included and isn't optional. Our governing body, BANT, recommends we review all test results with you, so we can personalise them to your individual health picture and make the right recommendations. Results found through internet searches or AI tools are often misread out of context, and your review appointment is also your chance to ask questions and leave with clear, practical next steps, rather than working through the science alone.
